Find a Professional Development Mini-Courses
Mini-courses are worth 1-4 credits (1 credit per topic OR up to 3 General Education credits by mixing sessions). They are held weekly via zoom (also recorded for later viewing) on topics for all levels of educator.
Sessions last 1-2 hours with a presentation, discussion, and question/answer time. Each session requires a reflection paper for that specific session. FIVE sessions PLUS FIVE reflection papers equal ONE CREDIT.
Save all reflection papers for one topic until all five sessions have been completed. Email to amy.flicek@ndunited.org for the credit link.
Cost
Mini-courses are FREE to North Dakota United members. Participants are responsible for the cost of the book and the $50 credit fee to UND to have your credit recorded onto your transcript.
The fee to participate in an NDU mini-course for non-members is $100, plus the credit fee to UND.
Reading and Math: Assessments and Practices (1 credit)

Ideas on assessments, practices, centers, manipulatives in Reading and Math. All levels can take ideas and adapt them to their grade level, classroom needs.
Calming The Stomr Through Self-Regulation (1 credit)

Maximizing Joy to Make The Most of Your Planning, PLC and PD Time (1 credit)
February 21, 28 and March 6, 13, 20
Two sessions of yoga, breath, meditation with whole classrooms and students in seats. Three sessions of coping techniques, sensory regulation ideas, strategies and tips to use with whole classrooms and students in seats.
